Some films are must-watches for cinema lovers, but sometimes we keep putting off watching them. One such film is the modern classic “The Wolf of Wall Street,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Netflix is giving its subscribers one last chance to watch this movie.
The Wolf of Wall Street will be removed from Netflix on July 10
It’s hard to believe, but over 10 years have passed since “The Wolf of Wall Street” was released. Directed by Martin Scorsese, this American biographical film tells the story of stockbroker Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio. If you think Gordon Gekko from the movie “Wall Street” is the epitome of capitalism, wait until you meet Belfort.
Netflix will keep this film on its platform until July 9, 2024. So, if you haven’t seen this extraordinary biographical film yet, you should watch it immediately. Otherwise, you will miss the chance on July 10. Despite its nearly three-hour length, this Scorsese film is never boring.
In addition to Leonardo DiCaprio, stars like Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, and Matthew McConaughey deliver fantastic performances. The film has an 8.2 rating on IMDb and received 80% positive feedback from professional critics and 83% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
In 2014, the film was nominated for five Oscars but did not win any. That year, the Best Picture award went to “12 Years a Slave.” Alfonso Cuarón won Best Director for “Gravity,” and Matthew McConaughey won Best Actor for “Dallas Buyers Club.” Interestingly, McConaughey also plays an unforgettable supporting role in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” so in a way, an actor from the film did win an Oscar.
